INTERVIEW WITH A VAMPIRE

When I read Anne Rice's novel my first thought was this would make an excellent movie. My second thought was whatever director they get will only mangle and destroy this story. I was right on the first part and wrong about the second. I enjoyed this movie tremendously. Even Anne Rice was pleasantly surprised. I was  skeptical about Tom Cruise playing Lestat  (believe it or not while reading the book I kept envisioning Rutger Hauer). I was wrong, Tom was perfect as Lestat. Brad Pitt did justice to Louie and Kristen Dunst was wonderful as Claudia. 

My second favorite vampire movie. It keeps you mesmerized from beginning to end.
